[Note - the text on this page has been set to a large size to help those having problems to read the instructions below]
When the learndirect website was designed we took a number of accessibility issues into account.
One consideration was that of partially sighted users and the ability for them to be able to re-size the text on the learndirect website using their browser. This allows people who have difficulty in reading small text onscreen to view the pages clearly. However, having included this function in the website design some users have had problems viewing the site because they have their browsers set to a small text size without realising it. Many websites don't allow users to set their own text size so often the first time you may notice the problem is on visiting a site like learndirect that allows you these controls.
How to change your text size
Internet Explorer
First select 'View' from your browser Menu Bar, or
'Page' from your browser Command Bar.
Then select 'Text size' from that menu.
Finally make sure you have 'Medium' selected (for standard
text size - you may choose another setting if you wish, larger than
standard text).

Firefox
First select
'View' from your browser toolbar.
Then select 'Zoom' from that menu.
Next select 'Zoom Text Only' (skip this step to increase all page elements)
Finally select 'Zoom In' to change the font size (you can repeat this process until you find a font size that is suitable for your needs).
