About the course
Whether you need to communicate clearly at work or sometimes just find it hard to get your point across to your friends, taking this course will help you to improve the essential speaking and listening skills that you use every day.
Best of all, this course is available to suit different levels of ability. So whether you'd like to learn the very basics or just develop the skills you already have, our friendly advisors will help you to work out what level you're at and point you in the right direction.
Perhaps you'd like to learn how to listen carefully, to ask for information and advice, or how to become a better speaker. Maybe you'd like to improve your ability to spot key information and take notes or learn how to tell people what you feel and back up the things you say with facts and research.
Either way, our practise questions and feedback will help you get to grips with any problem areas.
As your skills improve so, will your confidence. You'll even be working towards a nationally recognised qualification which will really help if you're trying to find a job or get on at work.
By completing this course you'll be working towards the Certificate in Adult Literacy. This is similar to a GCSE, and will show employers that you have the English skills they’re looking for. It'll really boost your CV, and could help you get ahead at work.
