Everyday English Skills - Vocabulary, Spelling and Grammar
About the course
If you sometimes struggle to choose the right words, or find it difficult to write your ideas down clearly, this is the course for you. It'll help you to improve your spelling and grammar skills. It'll boost your confidence and help you to get on at work.
Best of all, this course is available to suit different levels of ability. So whether you'd like to learn the very basics or just develop the skills you already have, our friendly staff will help you to work out what level you're at and point you in the right direction.
Maybe you'd like to learn how using the right punctuation can make pieces of writing easier to read and understand. Or perhaps you’d like to get to discover how words are 'built' and how this can help you to understand unfamiliar words. You might even want to learn how to use more difficult sentences, how to use the correct tense and how your writing can be made better with metaphors and synonyms.
Either way, our practise questions and feedback will help you get to grips with any problem areas.
As your skills improve so will your confidence. By completing this course you'll be working towards the Certificate in Adult Literacy. This is similar to a GCSE, and will show employers that you have the English skills they're looking for. It'll really boost your CV, and could help you get ahead at work.
