Are you under pressure to reduce the size of your workforce? learndirect understands that redundancies pose a challenging time for all that are involved and we may be able to provide valuable assistance for you and your staff during this difficult period.

We can offer redundancy support to businesses that are based in:

  • Leicestershire
  • The North West or
  • The West Midlands.

How can we support you and your employees?

We can help people make the journey back to work or develop training and redeployment plans for groups of employers from specific industries.

As every employee's circumstances will be different, our redundancy support package is tailored to the needs of the individual. A typical support package could include:

  • A skills analysis to help identify transferable skills and training needs relevant to the local labour market
  • Job focused training to help individuals develop the vocational skills needed to find employment
  • Clear information about alternative job opportunities in the local labour market
  • Expert advice on creating a compelling CV which effectively promotes the individual’s experiences and skills
  • Improving employees’ job search skills, helping them search for relevant vacancies through our links with local agencies and on the web
  • Guidance on successful interview techniques, including mock interviews
  • Help with securing the right job, with further training opportunities once in the new role, including vocational qualifications

How is the training delivered?

Employees learn either at a participating learndirect centre or in the workplace. Help and support is provided by experienced tutors every step of the way. And as the courses are delivered online, staff can learn at their own pace and fit their learning around work commitments.

Will it cost me anything?

No, the redundancy support package is fully funded, if your staff meet the eligibility criteria. learndirect can access government funding to provide this help and support to your organisation.
