Female sole traders should believe in their skills and abilities for success, a vocational expert has said.

Kate Rigby, a consultant, trainer and coach, told the Birmingham Post women can find plenty of help to get them started and keep them motivated.

She noted women need to have strong self-belief and be prepared to continually develop their own potential.

Ms Rigby will be holding business seminars for local female entrepreneurs, supported by business organisations which are eager to help nurture the next generation of business leaders.

She said: "The seminars will provide food for thought on how they make the next step in their careers.

“We will tackle issues like barriers to personal growth and what can be achieved by looking at situations differently - so if you change, the world will change with you."
