Cascade training is proving to be a hit at Morgan Stanley, it has been reported.
The so-called cascade training sessions being run by financial services giant Morgan Stanley are going down well with staff at the firm, it has been reported.
Employees have praised the meetings, which give women the opportunity to interact with more senior workers in order to get advice on how to overcome the challenges that may lie ahead as they attempt to ascend the corporate ladder, the Times reports.
The idea is that members from each tier of the business receive tips from those in the one immediately above and pass on their own knowledge to those in the one immediately below.
Similar training sessions for men are set to begin next month.
"It's a very good way to approach the discussion of issues that are relevant to women who are trying to develop their careers," commented spokeswoman Rebecca Ojeda.
Her remarks were echoed by fellow employee Kathryn Ebbens, who said the training sessions "help us to perform to the best of our abilities".
Morgan Stanley recently underwent major changes, moving from being an investment bank to a traditional bank after becoming embroiled in the Wall Street financial crisis.
