UKE Learning in Loughton, Essex is one of the latest learndirect centres to receive an award from the adult learning provider for its professionalism and customer service.
The centre won a commendation in the Working with Employers Award at the London learndirect Achievement Awards held at the Holiday Inn in Bloomsbury.
The awards are handed over to learning centres that help businesses to provide valuable staff training, NVQs and other skills for life for their employees. Learners are also rewarded as part of the awards, particularly those who have overcome adversity to learn online or learn at work to improve their employability.
UKE Learning provides advice and guidance to businesses who are looking to improve their training for employees. The centre currently advises over 400 employers who want to gain a 'competitive edge' through staff training programmes, according to its website. Staff working for the firms using UKE Learning can study for a range of qualifications including NVQs, apprenticeships, Skills for Life and Train to Gain courses.
The award shows that the centre has enhanced the skills and motivation of staff through learndirect training courses.
UKE Learning says it gives firms the chance to, “provide [their] workforce with opportunities to build and increase skills and will offer recognition for these skills through nationally recognised qualifications.”
