ECDL Module 6: Presentation Software (Syllabus 5 - MS 2007)

This course is the sixth module of the internationally recognised European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) qualification for 2007 operating systems. It focuses on using Microsoft PowerPoint to create and deliver business presentations.

The ECDL qualification helps you to gain the confidence, skills and knowledge to use computers, and a range of common IT software packages.

You'll learn how to:

• Understand when and why to use presentation software
• Prepare a new presentation
• Customise your presentation with different font types and sizes
• Use templates and design your own slides
• Choose, adapt and add graphics to slides
• Create and insert charts
• Run a slide show with animations and slide transitions
• Produce speaker notes and printed handouts
• Save and share data with other applications

You'll work through the course online, where you'll complete a series of exercises. All you need is access to the internet.

The course includes real-life scenarios, examples and interactive activities. A test at the end of the course lets you practise your new skills and check that you have understood all the techniques covered.

To complete this training course and receive your Statement of Completion, you'll need to visit every screen, and score an average of 9 out of 10 in the exercises. Once you've done all your courses and learning, you'll need to purchase the assessments from an approved ECDL test centre to gain the qualification.
