Staffordshire celebrates success

Adult learners from across Staffordshire celebrated their success recently at the Staffordshire Learning Hub's 2nd Annual Conference at Tillington Hall, Stafford.

Nine learners received Awards for Outstanding Learner Achievement with their local learndirect Centres. The Awards were presented by learndirect's Chief Executive Officer, Ann Limb who attended the Conference during a visit to Staffordshire.

Eight staff members also received Awards, after being nominated by learners for their helpfulness and support.

During the last two years the Learning Hub has expanded to include 33 learndirect Centres and Access Points in all corners of the County.

Mel Smith, Learning Hub Manager said: "It has been a fantastic two years. The centres and the learndirect courses are really making a difference to people and we are planning to build on those successes in the coming year, with further new centres joining the network. Learning really can transform people's lives - both their lives at work and their personal lives."
