Eligible students will receive full funding entitlements, skills body confirms.
All eligible students that have applied for an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and who may have experienced a delay in the processing of their claim, will receive all the payments they are entitled to, the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) has said.
In a statement, the organisation - which works to enhance and improve the skills base of the United Kingdom and help the country compete internationally - guaranteed that all EMA payments will be backdated and "no-one will miss out".
EMAs are support grants worth up to £30 a week that are paid directly into students' bank accounts to aid their further and higher education.
The payments are open to anyone aged 16, 17 or 18 who has left or is about to leave compulsory education and is enrolled in full-time further education, an LSC-funded diploma or Entry to Employment course, or a study programme that will lead to an apprenticeship.
How much a student receives for their EMA is determined by their household income, excluding any money they earn from part-time work.
According to government figures, gaining new qualifications through further education can boost an individual's earnings by around £3,000 a year.
