In general, women are not happy with the way work fits in to their daily lives, research has shown.
People in the UK want a radical overhaul of the way in which they work, new research has suggested.
The New Luxuries Female Lifestyle Study from Psychologies Magazine found that while 57 per cent of women claim they are sometimes able to enjoy their jobs, the vast majority of females would like changes to be made so that they have more time.
"It's a massive call for change and in that respect it's a very positive thing," commented Maureen Rice, the publication's editor. "I think a lot of men would like a more flexible working structure too. It's not just family people," she added.
Only 31 per cent of women surveyed said that their jobs are financially rewarding, but this could change in the future, Ms Rice suggested. She said the women have changed the way in which the country's workplaces operate in the past and that they have the potential to do so again.
